Commercial Head
About the Role
You're the financial architect for a startup within India's largest plywood
and decorative products group. As Finance Head, you'll establish financial
governance, reporting, and strategy for CenturyPly Furniture Fittings from the
ground up. You'll manage cash flow, build financial models, interface with
group finance, track KPIs, and provide the financial clarity needed for rapid
scaling. This is an exciting opportunity to build a finance function that's
not just compliant but strategically enabling growth.
Your Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting:
Build the annual budget and rolling forecasts; establish revenue, margin,
and cash flow targets aligned with growth plans.

Accounting & Compliance:
Establish accounting policies, set up books of accounts, ensure GST/tax
compliance, and prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements.

Cash Flow Management:
Manage working capital, payment terms with suppliers, receivables from
customers, and optimize cash conversion cycles for profitability and
liquidity.

Cost Accounting:
Implement cost tracking by product category, customer segment, and channel
to ensure visibility into unit economics and profitability drivers.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Create monthly dashboards for management (KPIs: gross margin, operating
expenses, inventory turns, receivables aging, cash position, etc.).

Group Interface:
Liaise with group finance on consolidations, internal controls, and
compliance requirements; communicate financial status and risks to group
leadership.

Pricing & Margin Analysis:
Work closely with Pricing Lead to understand margin targets and identify
cost drivers; support pricing decisions with financial impact analysis.

Fundraising & Investor Relations:
If applicable, support preparation of financial documents for fundraising;
provide board-level financial reporting.

Process & Systems:
Establish financial controls, approval workflows, and reconciliation
processes; implement accounting software (Tally/SAP) and reporting tools.

People & Culture:
Eventually build a small finance team (accountant, analyst) and mentor them
on company practices.
What You'll Need
Experience:

8-12 years in finance, accounting, or CFO roles with 3-5 years in a startup
or new business launch environment
- Experience in manufacturing or B2B businesses preferred

Familiarity with Indian GST, import duties, and manufacturing compliance

Experience managing cash flow in high-growth, capital-intensive businesses
Skills:
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis

Proficiency with accounting software (Tally, SAP, or ERPs) and Excel/data
visualization tools

Understanding of working capital management and cash flow optimization
- Clear communication of financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
