Role Objective
Own and drive end-to-end statutory and labour law compliance for the organization with zero tolerance for delays, gaps, or audit observations. Act as the single point of accountability (POC) for compliance governance, filings, and regulatory coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Statutory Compliance & Filings (Non-Negotiable)
Ensure 100% timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, etc.)
Maintain zero slippage on compliance calendars and due dates
Own compliance trackers, dashboards, and escalation mechanisms
2. Audit & Governance
Lead HR compliance support for statutory audits, internal audits, and secretarial audits
Work closely with Finance and Company Secretary (CS) teams to ensure seamless audit closure
Ensure no adverse audit remarks; proactively plug gaps
3. Regulatory Liaison & External Stakeholder Management
Maintain strong working relationships with PF, ESIC, Labour Department, and other regulatory authorities
Handle inspections, notices, and queries independently
Ensure quick resolution of compliance-related issues with authorities
4. Documentation & Record Management
Ensure complete, audit-ready documentation for all statutory records
Maintain digital and physical compliance records with high accuracy
5. Compliance Risk Management
Identify compliance risks and implement preventive controls
Continuously improve processes to ensure error-proof compliance systems
Key Requirements
8–10 years of HR compliance experience in a listed company (mandatory)
Strong hands-on experience in:PF, ESIC, Labour Laws, Shops & Establishments, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.
Statutory audits & coordination with Finance/CS teams
Proven track record of zero-delay filings and audit readiness
Strong network/connects across labour offices and authorities
High ownership mindset – this role demands execution, not oversight
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
