Job Description - Assistant Warehouse Manager

We are seeking a high-calibre Assistant Warehouse Manager to help lead our high-velocity distribution centre. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between high-level strategy and floor-level execution, ensuring that our grocery products move from dock to doorstep with maximum efficiency and zero compromise on quality.
The ideal candidate understands that managing a grocery warehouse isn't just about moving boxes—it’s about managing shelf life, cold chain integrity, and the relentless pace of business demand.

🔍 Core Responsibilities:
● Operational Oversight: Assist the Warehouse Manager in directing daily activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatch.
● Inventory & Freshness: Maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy. Execute strict FEFO (First Expired, First Out) protocols to minimize wastage of perishable goods.
● Cold Chain Management: Monitor temperature-controlled zones to ensure all dairy, meat, and frozen categories meet food safety regulations.
● Team Leadership: Supervise a multi-shift team of supervisors and floor staff. Foster a culture of safety, speed, and precision.
● Health & Safety: Ensure 100% compliance with OSHA/HSE standards and food hygiene certifications (HACCP).
● Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs such as Cost per Case, Pick Rate, and Order Cycle Time to identify and fix bottlenecks.

✅ What We Are Looking For:
● Education:- Graduation (Any degree).
● Experience: 10+ years of experience in an FMCG or Grocery warehouse environment.
● Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), Advance Excel and RF scanning technology.
● Operational Grit: Ability to thrive in a 24/7 environment, including readiness to support during peak seasonal surges.
● Problem Solver: You don’t just report a bottleneck; you come to the table with a solution to clear it.
● Communication: Clear, concise communication skills to coordinate between procurement, transport, and floor staff.

✅ Key Skills
● Inventory Control: Cycle counting, shrinkage reduction, and stock reconciliation.
● Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with MHE (Material Handling Equipment) safety and maintenance.
● Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of food storage standards and dry/wet/cold storage requirements.
