Accounts & Finance Executive – Canada Client Servicing
Job Summary:
VGC Advisors is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Finance
Executive to enhance our International Client Vertical dedicated to a
Canada-based client portfolio. This role involves managing daily bookkeeping,
financial reporting, and compliance tasks while utilizing cloud-based
accounting tools, particularly Xero, to deliver exceptional service to our
clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate books for Canada-based clients using proficient accounting
software.

Record all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts,
payments, and journals.

Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and intercompany
entries.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) cycles
effectively.

Set up and maintain Xero charts of accounts according to client
requirements.

Handle property management accounting for real estate clients, including
rental income recording and lease schedule maintenance.
Requirements:

Minimum 3–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with
international clients.

Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial statements.

Working knowledge of GST/HST, CRA compliance, or a willingness to learn
quickly.
- Proficiency in client communication and presentation skills.

Familiarity with accounting tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Tally ERP.

Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA (Finance) or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Inter / CMA Inter)
or Qualified CA (ICAI).

Prior experience in a CA firm, vCFO firm, or BPO/KPO serving overseas
clients.
- Knowledge of property management accounting workflows.

Experience with document management tools such as Hubdoc or Dext
(preferred).

Basic understanding of foreign exchange entries and multi-currency
bookkeeping.
