Job Summary
|
We are looking for an experienced
Project Planner & Scheduler
to join our Project Management team at the Head Office. The
incumbent will be responsible for developing, managing, and
monitoring integrated project schedules for utility-scale Solar,
Wind, and Hybrid Renewable Energy projects from engineering
through commissioning. The role requires close coordination with
Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, Project Execution, SCM,
Finance, and Site teams to ensure projects are delivered within
approved timelines.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in project
planning, scheduling, project controls, progress monitoring,
delay analysis, resource planning, and management reporting
using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.

Role & Responsibilities
|
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
-
Develop and maintain integrated master schedules for
utility-scale Solar, Wind, and Hybrid projects.
-
Prepare project baseline schedules covering Engineering,
Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Construction,
Testing, and Commissioning activities.

Develop Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 project schedules
based on project requirements.

Prepare milestone schedules aligned with contractual
obligations and project execution plans.

Review EPC contractor schedules and ensure alignment with
the overall project schedule.

Monitor critical path activities and identify schedule risks
affecting project completion.
Project Controls & Monitoring
-
Monitor project progress across multiple sites against
approved baselines.
-
Analyze schedule variances and recommend mitigation and
recovery plans.
-
Conduct critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule
impact assessments.
-
Prepare recovery schedules for delayed projects.
-
Monitor project performance using Earned Value Management
(EVM) techniques.
-
Ensure timely closure of planning-related observations and
action items.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
-
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, SCM,
Finance, Quality, HSE, and Site Project Teams.

Interface with EPC contractors, consultants, and client
representatives for schedule reviews.

Participate in project review meetings and management
presentations.

Provide planning support during project kick-off, execution,
and close-out phases.
Reporting & MIS
-
Prepare weekly, fortnightly, and monthly project progress
reports.

Develop management dashboards and executive-level MIS
reports.
-
Prepare S-Curves, progress measurement reports, resource
histograms, productivity reports, and milestone trackers.

Present project health reports highlighting schedule status,
risks, bottlenecks, and corrective actions.

Maintain project planning databases and document revisions.
Risk & Resource Planning
-
Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Coordinate manpower planning and resource allocation across
multiple projects.

Support project budgeting and forecasting activities through
planning inputs.
-
Assist in scenario planning and what-if analysis for project
optimization.
Process Improvement
-
Standardize planning methodologies and reporting formats
across projects.

Develop planning templates, scheduling standards, and best
practices.

Support digitalization initiatives related to project
controls and reporting.

Mentor junior planners and planning engineers.

Education, Experience & Skills requirements
|
Educational Qualification
-
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical
Engineering, or a related discipline.
-
Master's Degree in Project Management (preferred).
Experience
-
10–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling
for utility-scale Solar, Wind, or Hybrid Renewable Energy
projects.
-
Experience in handling multiple large-scale EPC projects
simultaneously.
-
Exposure to project controls, project monitoring, and
corporate planning functions.
-
Experience working with EPC contractors, developers, IPPs, or
renewable energy organizations.
-
Prior experience in a Head Office or Corporate Project
Controls role will be preferred.
