ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a seasoned Debt Fund Manager to spearhead our fixed-income
investment strategies within the insurance business. This is a high-impact
leadership role where you will manage a multi-million rupee debt portfolio,
balancing optimal returns with regulatory prudence. You will play a pivotal
role in shaping the investment framework of the organization by leveraging
deep market insights, sound risk management, and forward-looking strategies.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of investment
management, insurance, and regulatory oversight, while collaborating closely
with senior leadership on capital allocation strategies that directly
influence the company’s growth and financial strength.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Portfolio Leadership

Lead and manage the company’s debt/fixed-income portfolio across short,
medium, and long-term instruments including government securities,
corporate bonds, and money market instruments.

Craft and execute investment strategies aligned with macroeconomic
outlook, interest rate movements, credit quality, and business
objectives.

Translate complex economic and market trends into actionable portfolio
strategies that maximize returns while maintaining capital safety.

Research & Market Insights

Conduct in-depth research on global and domestic economic indicators,
monetary policy changes, yield curve dynamics, and issuer
creditworthiness.

Stay ahead of evolving market conditions and provide strategic insights
to guide investment decisions and senior management discussions.

Risk & Compliance Excellence

Ensure strict adherence to IRDAI regulations and internal risk
management frameworks.

Continuously monitor portfolio performance across risk, duration, yield,
and liquidity parameters to maintain a balanced and resilient portfolio.

Implement proactive risk-mitigation strategies while optimizing returns.

Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial, treasury,
and finance to align investments with liability profiles and business
priorities.

Present regular updates and strategic recommendations to the Investment
Committee and senior leadership team.
Experience & Educational Requirement:

Education:
Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. Professional
qualifications such as CFA, MBA (Finance), or Chartered Accountant are
strongly preferred.

Experience:
9+ years of proven expertise in debt fund management, treasury, or
fixed-income research, ideally in Insurance.

Track Record:
Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent, risk-adjusted returns and
navigate diverse market cycles.

Strong analytical mindset, deep understanding of credit and interest rate
markets, excellent communication, and ability to thrive in a
regulatory-driven environment.
