Job Description:
The “Vendor Risk Coordinator” will support the Vendor Risk Manager in
coordinating and monitoring the end-to-end Vendor Risk Framework process
for contracts requiring enhanced attention from a third-party risk
perspective.
The role involves ensuring that vendor risk requirements are properly
understood, applied, documented, and followed up across the sourcing, due
diligence, risk assessment, committee validation, and post-committee
action tracking phases.
-
The “Vendor Risk Coordinator” must develop a good working
knowledge of the Vendor Risk Framework and partner specificities,
including the criteria triggering vendor controls, service due
diligence, and full risk assessments. They should also understand the
governance model supporting the framework, including the roles and
responsibilities of the various stakeholders involved in the process,
such as buyers, SMEs, risk teams, and decision-making bodies.
-
The “Vendor Risk Coordinator” will be expected to understand the
operational flow across the relevant tools, including Sourcing Compass
where the sourcing requests are initiated, Process Unity - the TPRM
tool, the sourcing pipeline, and the contractual database – contract’in.
This understanding should enable them to coordinate process steps
effectively, identify potential gaps or delays, and ensure that required
inputs are obtained from the right stakeholders at the right time.
-
A core responsibility will be to support the preparation of the partner
Vendor Risk Committee (VRC). This includes identifying contracts
requiring committee review, coordinating with buyers and SMEs, preparing
and maintaining the PowerPoint deck, organizing preparation meetings,
updating meeting invitations and materials as the agenda evolves
constantly, and ensuring that all information presented is complete,
clear, and risk-focused.
-
The “Vendor Risk Coordinator” will also be responsible for drafting
high-quality Vendor Risk Committee minutes, capturing key discussions,
risk considerations, decisions, and action plans. Given that these
materials are shared with senior stakeholders and may be reviewed by
audit or regulatory bodies, the colleague must demonstrate rigour,
accuracy, and a strong sense of accountability.
-
After each committee, the “Vendor Risk Coordinator” will track
agreed actions, monitor completion against deadlines, provide proactive
updates to the Vendor Risk Manager, and escalate any overdue or blocked
actions. The role requires strong organization, agility, attention to
detail, stakeholder management, and analytical judgment, particularly as
many cases involve grey areas and require the ability to understand risk
implications beyond a purely procedural approach.
