Land Accountant - AM / Manager

Position: Land Accountant - AM / Manager

Incumbent will be responsible for:
• Track and account for land leases, easements, and surface use agreements specific to solar and wind development.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments to landowners, including lease payments, royalties, option fees, and other contractual obligations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on land-related costs, commitments, and forecasts for internal stakeholders.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for all land financial transactions and support internal and external audit processes.
• Work closely with Land Agents and Legal to understand contract terms and ensure accurate financial implementation.
• Assist with the budgeting of land acquisition and lease-related expenses for development, construction, and operating assets. 

Educational Qualifications and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 6–10 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in the renewable energy
• Familiarity with land lease agreements, easements, and royalty structures
• Strong understanding of GAAP and lease accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
