Data Governance Lead

Experience: 10+ years 
Location: Pune 

Role Overview

The Data Governance Lead will be responsible for defining, implementing, and steering the organisation’s data governance strategy. This role focuses on driving data maturity, data quality, and data culture initiatives across the enterprise while ensuring alignment with overall data strategy. 

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the overall Data Governance strategy and its implementation.
• Track and assess progress of the group data strategy through Data Maturity and Data Fitness (data quality and availability) metrics.
• Establish and manage the Data Governance framework, including policies, processes, standards, tools, and steering mechanisms.
• Define and support the Data Quality framework and Data Quality Assurance processes.
• Support the implementation of minimum requirements for Data Operations.
• Drive and embed Data Culture initiatives across business and technology teams.
• Work closely with stakeholders across functions to ensure adoption of governance standards. 

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in the data domain (e.g., Data Office, Data Governance, Data Management roles).
• Proven experience in rolling out enterprise-wide programs and implementing tools in large corporate environments.
• Strong exposure to data governance and data management platforms (e.g., IDMC) and data processing environments.
