Job Responsibility

Section-A – Position Summary

State the objective and purpose of the role.

Quality Plans and Inspections

• Review and Develop Quality Plans for all civil, electrical and mechanical items for wind turbine, solar plant, switchyard and BOP for wind plant.
• Manage the inspections at manufacturer premises as per MQP/QAP Approved documents for Electrical and mechanical items.
• Implementation of the Field Quality Plan through field engineers and conduct RCA wherever deviations (In coming quality inspection, In process Quality Inspections) as per FQP (Field Quality Plan).
• Supplier qualification with respect to quality, carry out their audits and giving feedback to procurement for onboarding.

Quality Control & Reporting

• Quality Non-Compliance Reports (NCR) generating, monitoring of Closure.
• Implementing of Quality lessons learnt & deployment of same in future projects by giving Feedback to Engineering, BD for adoption of same in future bids.
• Coordination with site teams for ensuring quality during Project execution & ensure all open point closure before HOTO and Commissioning for Wind and Solar plants which includes foundation, mechanical and electrical works.
• Coordination with Third party inspection agency for module, electrical equipment & structure inspection etc. to control quality, responsible for archival of records for all future purpose.
• Acquiring & maintaining quality documents for projects under execution and subsequently transfer to O&M.

Audits

• Perform Quality audit during Project execution, & at suppliers’ premises as per business need.
• Perform site quality audit of operational plant to find gaps in maintenance & operational practice.
• Quality audits during Commissioning of wind turbines and solar plants.
• Rating of quality of work carried out by Service/ Project contractor team, tracking of closures of deviations, Identification of training needs based on quality of work and tracking of improvement.

SECTION B: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

1. Ensuring manufacturing quality of equipment supplied during project phase
   • Approval of QAP and ensure that inspection is carried out as per approved QAP.
2. Ensuring field quality during project execution
   • Approval of Filed quality plan (FQP) and ensure that project is executed as per FQP.
3. Site quality audits during project execution
   • Find gaps from approved FQP and ensure closure of same.
4. Site quality audits of operational plant
   • Find gaps between approved operational and maintenance practice and closure of same.
5. Performing RCA of failed equipment
   • Find reason for failure and recommend measures to prevent same in future.

Note

Preferred educational background is Civil engineering, with work experience in the Quality Department handling Wind Mechanical and Wind Civil.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Work Experience: 8+ Years

• Should have handled at least 2 projects at lead supplier quality.
• Preparation of quality documents.
• Review of MQP & FQP in line with contracts.
• Convergent with supplier audits and its approval process.
