Senior Analyst – Data Scientist

India (Gurgaon)

Position Summary

As Senior Analyst – Data Scientist, you will work closely with Data Managers/Principals and case teams (consultants and business analysts) to solve complex analytical problems for clients in the life sciences industry. You will play a key role in developing core analytical deliverables by applying strong coding, statistical modeling, and data interpretation skills.

In this role, you will:

• Execute advanced analytics independently across engagements

• Translate business problems into analytical frameworks

• Generate insights and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations

• Support client discussions through data-driven storytelling

Our India office is based in Gurgaon and works closely with global teams across the US and UK.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in analytics within top-tier consulting firms or the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

• Experience working in a hybrid onshore/offshore engagement model

• Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry preferred

Technical & Analytical Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R/SAS

• Strong experience working with large and complex datasets

• Experience in statistical testing and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression models, classification, clustering, non-parametric tests)

• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake)

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense)

• Familiarity with healthcare datasets such as IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, Truven, Optum, Flatiron, provider/payer and claims data

Role Expectations:

• Manage individual analytical workstreams with minimal supervision

• Contribute meaningfully to project design and analytical approach

• Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely delivery of outputs

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams
