Role Purpose
The Head – Engineering will lead the end-to-end engineering function for wind/solar/bess power projects, covering project design, technical evaluation, execution support, and lifecycle optimization. The role is critical in ensuring technical excellence, cost optimization, safety, quality, and timely delivery of wind/solar/bess projects from development to commissioning and operations support.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design Leadership
- Lead engineering activities for onshore wind projects including layout design, micrositing, WTG selection, foundation design, electrical systems, evacuation, and SCADA.
- Review and approve basic and detailed engineering deliverables from internal teams, OEMs, EPC contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards, statutory requirements, grid codes, and best engineering practices.
Project Development & Technical Due Diligence
- Support project development teams with technical feasibility studies, wind resource assessment inputs, yield optimization, and risk analysis.
- Lead technical due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and new project opportunities.
- Provide technical inputs for bid submissions, RFQs, and contract negotiations with OEMs and EPCs.
Execution Support & Coordination
- Work closely with project execution, procurement, and construction teams to resolve engineering issues during implementation.
- Provide technical oversight during construction, commissioning, and handover to O&M teams.
- Drive standardization of designs, technical specifications, and engineering processes across projects.
