JD: AVP/Sr. AVP – Treasury, Banking Operations & Regulatory Reporting

Role Summary

The AVP/Sr. AVP will be responsible for overseeing treasury and banking operations with a strong focus on regulatory reporting, liquidity management, and capital markets activities.

The role involves managing balance sheet processes, funding, settlements, and regulatory filings, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Treasury & Capital Markets

Support core treasury functions including:

Cash & liquidity management
Funding, investments, and bank balances
Monitor daily cash positions, funding requirements, and liquidity usage
Support investment portfolio, hedging strategies, and capital markets transactions
Coordinate with trading desks, custodians, and counterparties for settlements and confirmations
Ensure effective management of cash forecasting and treasury reporting

2. Regulatory Reporting

Act as a subject matter expert on U.S. regulatory frameworks and reporting obligations
Lead preparation and submission of regulatory filings (SEC, FINRA, Federal Reserve, OFR)
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of capital, liquidity, and balance sheet reporting
Coordinate responses to regulatory examinations, audits, and internal control reviews
Partner with compliance and legal teams to assess impact of new regulations

3. Leadership & Strategic Initiatives

Mentor junior team members and support capability building
Lead or support implementation of new regulatory requirements and system enhancements
Drive automation initiatives using tools such as RPA, Alteryx, and workflow platforms
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred)
15+ years of experience in:

Treasury / Banking Operations / Capital Markets
Strong analytical and data management capabilities
