Are You Ready to Shape the Future of Credit Risk?
Imagine being at the heart of one of the world's leading reinsurance groups, where your analytical expertise directly influences how Swiss Re navigates complex credit landscapes across the globe. If you're passionate about turning data into decisions and thrive in a dynamic, intellectually stimulating environment — this role was made for you. Based in Bangalore, you'll be part of a globally synchronized team, collaborating with colleagues across Zurich, New York, and Alpharetta to deliver high-quality credit risk oversight on a truly international scale.
As a Credit & Surveillance Analyst within our Credit Risk Management (CRM) team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Swiss Re's financial strength and reputation. This is not your average risk role — you'll blend independent credit analysis with cutting-edge data science techniques to build scalable tools, uncover meaningful insights, and support high-stakes decision-making at a senior level. Your work will have real, visible impact across Swiss Re's entire business spectrum.
Credit risk is woven into the fabric of the Swiss Re Group — spanning credit counterparty risks embedded in structured transactions across Property & Casualty and Life & Health reinsurance, Alternative Risk Transfer solutions, Asset Management investment strategies, Credit & Surety underwriting activities, and corporate finance operations including custodial, banking, and derivatives counterparties.
The CRM Insurance team is the specialist unit responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and controlling credit default and migration risk on insurance counterparties. We ensure that Swiss Re's credit risk profile remains transparent to management and appropriately aligned with its risk appetite. Our team members are based across Zurich, New York, Alpharetta, and Bangalore, working in close collaboration across time zones to deliver consistent, high-quality risk oversight on a global scale.
You are a quantitatively-minded professional who finds energy in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. You bring proven analytical capabilities alongside strong communication skills — able to translate technical findings into compelling business recommendations. Naturally curious and detail-oriented, you thrive in collaborative environments where your work has real, visible impact. You approach challenges with intellectual rigor, embrace continuous learning, and are energized by the opportunity to contribute to a globally respected risk management function.
Swiss Re is one of the world's leading providers of reinsurance, insurance, and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer — working every day to make the world more resilient. We anticipate and manage a wide variety of risks, from natural catastrophes and climate change to cybercrime, covering both Property & Casualty and Life & Health.
Combining decades of experience with creative thinking and cutting-edge expertise, we create new opportunities and solutions for our clients. This is made possible by the collaboration of more than 14,000 employees across the world.
Our success depends on our ability to build an inclusive culture that encourages fresh perspectives and innovative thinking. We embrace a workplace where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive and develop professionally — regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, gender identity and/or expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, skillset, thought, or other characteristics. In our inclusive and flexible environment, everyone can bring their authentic selves to work and their passion for sustainability.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
