Role Overview

The EBOP Lead – O&M will be responsible for end-to-end Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of renewable energy assets with a focus on Electrical Balance of Plant (EBOP) . The role requires strong corporate experience in managing large-scale renewable portfolios, governance, compliance, and cross-functional coordination within a structured enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead EBOP O&M operations for utility-scale renewable energy projects (Solar/Wind/Hybrid) within a corporate setup .

• Ensure achievement of plant availability, PR, generation, and financial KPIs in line with corporate governance standards.

• Manage and monitor substations, switchyards, transmission lines, transformers, protection systems, SCADA , and grid connectivity.

• Drive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs aligned with corporate SOPs and audits.

• Coordinate with Asset Management, Finance, Commercial, Legal, HSE, and Projects teams at corporate and site levels.

• Manage O&M contracts, vendors, and OEMs , ensuring SLA adherence and cost optimization.

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, grid codes, electrical safety, and corporate HSE policies .

• Lead RCA, incident management, and escalation handling as per corporate frameworks.

• Support commissioning, takeover, and stabilization of new renewable assets.

• Prepare and present corporate MIS, dashboards, performance reviews, and management reports .

• Drive process improvements, digitalization initiatives, and standardization across O&M operations.

• Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams across multiple project sites.

Key Requirements

• Education:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering , MBA / PGDM (preferred)

• Experience:

  • 12–18+ years of experience in renewable energy O&M , with strong EBOP exposure

  • Mandatory experience in a corporate / large renewable IPP / reputed power company

  • Experience managing multi-location assets and large O&M budgets at AGM/DGM level

• Technical Expertise:

  • Utility-scale EBOP systems, substations, grid interfacing, and protection systems

  • SCADA, performance monitoring, PR/availability optimization

  • Regulatory compliance, audits, and DISCOM coordination

• Corporate & Leadership Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management across corporate functions

  • Experience working with structured processes, governance, and audits

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people-management skills
