History & Timeline of Mariwala Group

Position in the Organisation

Process Intensification Cell (PIC)

Reports to: Dr. Manoj Tike, AVP-PIC

Mission

To enhance process development and scale-up through process engineering and process intensification of existing molecules.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Conduct studies in existing manufacturing processes/operations.
• Identify and execute projects to enhance quality, capacity, and yield while reducing waste and utility consumption.
• Identify energy conservation opportunities.
• Focus on waste reduction through process modification.
• Prioritize projects based on safety, cost, and market demand.
• Document modifications and conduct plant trials.
• Streamline processes and standardize modifications.
• Engage in process improvement studies like multiphase reactions and continuous flow reactions.

Measurement / Key Performance Indicators

• Improvements from cost-saving projects.
• Meeting timelines for cost improvement projects.
• Enhancement of capacity.
• Reduction of carbon footprint.

Position Requirements

Education

Mandatory: Master’s degree in chemical engineering

Desirable: M. Tech., /M. Chem From ICT, IIT, BHU

Experience

• 8-10 Years of industrial experience in the fragrance & flavor industry, specialty chemicals, or fine chemicals.
• Technical skills in process engineering and development, basic organic chemistry, and operation management.
• Behavioral attributes: Collaboration, speed, problem-solving, and business acumen.

IMS Responsibilities

• Driving continuous improvement.
• Maintaining documentation.

PSM Responsibilities

• Ensuring process safety.
• Focusing on environmentally friendly processes.
