About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager – Statutory Reporting to lead statutory and regulatory reporting activities within the US Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in NAIC statutory reporting, SSAP guidelines, financial close processes, and regulatory compliance. This role requires hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements along with exposure to SOVOS reporting tools and SAP HANA ERP.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and supporting schedules in compliance with NAIC regulations and SSAP guidelines.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory reporting and filing processes ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
Oversee year-end financial close activities including reconciliations, journal entries, adjustments, and reporting deliverables.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial controls.
Monitor and analyze changes in accounting regulations and reporting requirements impacting statutory reporting processes.
Collaborate with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams to improve reporting efficiency and financial processes.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within statutory reporting and financial close operations.
Support internal and external audits by providing required financial data, reports, and documentation.
Handle ad-hoc reporting requests and special finance projects as required by management.
Utilize SOVOS reporting tool and SAP HANA ERP for reporting, reconciliations, and financial data management.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in US Insurance Statutory Reporting.
Hands-on expertise in NAIC reporting and SSAP framework.
Experience in preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements and regulatory filings.
Strong understanding of financial close, reconciliations, and reporting controls.
Experience working with SOVOS Reporting Tool.
Hands-on experience with SAP HANA ERP.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication and team handling abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
CA / CPA / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
Experience in insurance finance and regulatory reporting environment preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
