Purpose of the Job/Job Mission

·        Process Development and Scale up through Process Engineering/ Process Intensification of existing molecules

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Process Development and scale up through process engineering skill:

1.       Studies in existing manufacturing processes/operation, Process inconsistencies, Material & energy balance, Process micro-activities, Material and equipment mapping, Data analysis, Deviation analysis

2.       Identification, evaluation and execution of the projects having potential of improvement in quality, capacity, yield, and reduction in material, waste, water and utility consumption.

3.       Energy conservation opportunity identification, evaluation and execution.

4.       Waste reduction through process modification and recovery of value-added products.

5.       Projects prioritization based on safety, Cost, and market demands

6.       Documentation, equipment modification and Plant trials (Execution) as per agreed/modified process. Analyze the trial batches. Identification of gaps between actual & desired process. Discussion with team for bridging the gaps observed.

7.       Streamlining of the process by overcoming the gaps. standardization of the modified process. Analyzing the results and cost benefits. Permanent implementation of the modified process. Final handover to operations.

8.       Process development and scale up, new technology, studies in process improvement.

9.       Studies in multiphase reactions, catalysis, continuous flow reaction and identify opportunity to alter existing process with cost benefit, environment friendly route.
