About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer
with 10+ years of expertise in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Analytics,
and Cloud Data Platforms to design, build, and optimize modern
enterprise-scale data solutions using
Microsoft Fabric
.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Microsoft
Fabric, Azure data services, data architecture, data integration, real-time
analytics, data governance, and performance optimization. This role requires
someone who can combine deep technical expertise with strong architectural
thinking and effectively collaborate with business and technology
stakeholders. Microsoft Fabric certification is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Fabric & Data Engineering
-
Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft
Fabric.
-
Develop scalable Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Medallion Architecture, and Data
Mesh solutions.
-
Build end-to-end data pipelines using Data Factory in Microsoft Fabric.
-
Develop robust ETL/ELT frameworks for large-scale data processing.
-
Design and implement both batch and real-time data ingestion solutions.
-
Work extensively with OneLake, Lakehouse, Fabric Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2,
Notebooks, Eventstreams, and KQL Databases.
-
Develop advanced analytics solutions leveraging the unified Microsoft Fabric
platform.
-
Implement enterprise standards for data security, governance, compliance,
and data quality.
Data Modeling & Performance Optimization
-
Design enterprise-level dimensional, relational, and analytical data models.
-
Optimize Spark workloads, PySpark notebooks, SQL queries, and data
transformations.
-
Drive query performance, storage optimization, workload management, and
overall platform efficiency.

Establish and implement best practices for scalable and maintainable data
engineering.
Cloud & Enterprise Integration

Integrate Microsoft Fabric with enterprise technologies including:

Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2

Azure Synapse Analytics

Azure SQL Database
- Databricks
- Power BI
- SAP
- Salesforce

Other enterprise applications

Drive cloud modernization and data platform migration initiatives.

Support migration from legacy and cloud data platforms to Microsoft Fabric.
Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Lead architecture discussions, solution design, and technical design
reviews.

Provide technical leadership across enterprise data transformation
initiatives.

Mentor and guide junior and mid-level data engineers.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, product
teams, and engineering teams.

Translate business requirements into scalable and effective technical
solutions.

Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Fabric and modern data
engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
Engineering, or a related discipline.

10+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering / Data Platforms.

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
-
Strong expertise in Azure Data Platform technologies.
-
Proven experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured
datasets.
-
Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and modern data
engineering patterns.
-
Experience delivering or leading enterprise-scale data modernization
initiatives.
-
Excellent communication, client-facing, stakeholder management, and
problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following domains will be an advantage:

Experience with data platform migrations, including:
