1) Job Purpose

To support end-to-end contract management activities for Wind, Solar, and Hybrid renewable projects through drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements while ensuring risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and timely project execution.

2) Job Context & Major Challenges

Operating in a fast-paced renewable energy environment, the role supports contract management across multiple projects involving EPC contractors, OEMs, suppliers, and O&M partners. The role requires coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure commercially balanced agreements while maintaining execution timelines. Key challenges include handling complex techno-commercial contracts under aggressive project schedules, balancing contractual risk protection with business requirements, managing evolving renewable energy regulations, addressing taxation and compliance implications, and ensuring alignment across legal, procurement, finance, and project teams without delaying execution.

3) Principal Accountabilities

Contract Drafting & Negotiation	Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize MSAs, WTGAs, BoS/BoP, EPC, IPP, and O&M agreements for Wind/Solar/Hybrid projects
Risk Management	Identify and mitigate contractual risks related to delays, land/ROW issues, warranties, LDs, force majeure, limitation of liabilities, and performance obligations
Commercial & Regulatory Support	Provide inputs on commercial terms, GST/custom duties, legal compliance, and renewable energy regulations
Stakeholder Coordination	Collaborate with project, legal, finance, procurement teams, and external counsel for contract closure and dispute resolution
Contract Administration	Support contract execution, amendments, claims management, and closure activities
Industry & Regulatory Monitoring	Stay updated on CERC/state regulations, MNRE guidelines, IEC/CEA standards, and industry best practices
Execution Support	Ensure timely contract finalization without impacting project execution schedules
Documentation & Governance	Maintain contract repository, approvals, compliance records, and audit readiness

6) Qualifications

B.Tech / BE (Mandatory) – Electrical / Mechanical / Civil preferred
Additional qualification in Law / Contract Management / MBA preferred
12–15 years of experience in contract management within renewable energy / infrastructure / EPC industry
Experience in handling Wind/Solar/Hybrid project contracts including EPC, WTG, BoS/BoP, and O&M agreements
Strong understanding of commercial contracting, taxation, and regulatory frameworks
Exposure to CERC / State RE Regulations, MNRE guidelines, IEC/CEA standards
Strong negotiation, drafting, analytical, and conflict management skills
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP systems
