Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Forward Deployment Engineer to lead the deployment, integration, and adoption of EXLdata.ai across client environments. This role combines cloud infrastructure, data engineering, client engagement, and GenAI-driven automation to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Deployment & Infrastructure

• Deploy EXLdata.ai in client-owned AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Configure networking, security, IAM, Kubernetes, CI/CD, API gateways, and identity integrations.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, environment, and deployment issues.
• Optimize cloud performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.

Data Engineering & Enablement

• Build and optimize data pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native data services.
• Integrate platform agents into data migration, data quality, DataOps, and annotation workflows.
• Support onboarding of client data sources, targets, and transformations.

Client Success & Value Realization

• Act as the technical lead for client deployments.
• Drive adoption and measurable outcomes through automation, improved data quality, and accelerated delivery.
• Support discovery sessions, solution configuration, UAT, and operational readiness.

GenAI Agent Integration

• Integrate and customize GenAI agents within client ecosystems.
• Configure agent workflows, triggers, and domain-specific use cases.
• Collaborate with product teams to enhance agent capabilities.

Product Feedback & Innovation

• Serve as the voice of the customer, providing actionable product feedback.
• Identify feature enhancements, accelerators, and platform improvements.
• Contribute to internal tooling, product hardening, and innovation initiatives.

Managed Services

• Support deployments in EXL-hosted cloud environments.
• Ensure operational excellence, monitoring, reliability, and SLA adherence for premium clients.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 6–12 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Forward Deployment Engineer.
• Strong expertise in at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Python, PySpark, SQL
• Databricks and/or Snowflake
• Cloud data services (Glue, Redshift, Synapse, BigQuery, DataProc, Kinesis, etc.)
• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD
• IAM, VPCs, private networking, API management, and secrets management

Client & Delivery Skills

• Experience working directly with client engineering and business teams.
• Ability to lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, and troubleshooting sessions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.

GenAI Exposure

• Familiarity with LLMs and agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar.
• Passion for leveraging AI to transform data engineering and governance.
