Delivery Lead – Data Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Lead in Data Engineering to spearhead our data initiatives and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects. This role will have a direct impact on our organization by enhancing data solutions and driving operational efficiency across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead data engineering projects by managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful execution and delivery.
Design and implement scalable data architectures to support enterprise-level analytics and data processing needs.
Oversee data quality management practices, ensuring that data pipelines are robust, reliable, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in data engineering practices.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and optimize data flow for analytical purposes.
Implement best practices in data governance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Utilize Agile methodologies to enhance project delivery timelines and manage ongoing deliverables effectively.

Requirements:

5-7 years of experience in data engineering or related fields with a proven track record of successful project deliveries.
Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience with database tools like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Educational background from premier institutes (IIT or IIM) is highly desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud-based data solutions, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Certification in data engineering or related fields will be considered a plus.
Experience in managing remote teams and implementing agile methodologies.
