About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Data Engineer to join our growing data and analytics team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions using Azure technologies. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to build reliable and efficient data platforms that support business intelligence and advanced analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure cloud services.
• Build and optimize data transformation workflows using DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Develop and manage data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Design and maintain data warehouses and data marts on Snowflake.
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models.
• Develop automation scripts and data processing solutions using Python.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are followed.
• Support deployment, testing, and maintenance of data engineering solutions across environments.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

• 4–7 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Snowflake
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Python
• SQL
• Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience working with large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Knowledge of data optimization, performance tuning, and query optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure ecosystem services such as Azure Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure Functions.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and cloud best practices.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale data modernization projects.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
