Business Development Lead

Role and Responsibility

•        Continually identify/develop/update new customers in the BD pipeline for South India both independently and through channel partners – ensuring there is a continuous supply of leads for C&I Onsite (rooftop/ground mount) and Open Access (group captive Solar, Wind, and Hybrid RE) sales across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu Andhra Pradesh Telangana and Kerala, targeting energy-intensive industries including Cement, Steel, Textiles, Automotive, Chemicals, IT Parks, Data Centres etc.

•        Lead and close mid to large volume PPAs with C&I consumers for Onsite and Open Access

•        Develop and maintain a mid to senior level network across large industrial and commercial consumers in the south.

•        Coordinate with internal teams for onsite assessments, costs, open access capacity estimations, landed tariff etc. and ensure timely submission of deliverables to clients

•        Involve with clients on technical and commercial discussions for both onsite and open access offerings – the incumbent should be able to clearly present the replacement of client’s consumption with RE leading to monetary benefits while having a clear understanding of contractual clauses related to offtake, assured supply, change in law, termination, assignment, share transfers etc.

•        Coordinate with customers to ensure timely submission of documents for group captive compliances

•        Tracking of onsite and open access receivables ensuring timely receipt of payments from customers

•        Managing existing accounts to ensure assured supply, minimum savings etc. are complied with, and to tap more opportunities.

•        Keep up to date on changing regulations and advise customers of its implications
