Azure Architect

Job Summary:

The Azure Architect will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust Azure data solutions that drive efficiency and innovation within our organization. This leadership position demands not only technical expertise but also strong team management skills to guide a group of talented data professionals in leveraging cloud capabilities to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement Azure Data Services solutions, including Synapse, ADF, Event Hub, and ADLS, to meet business needs.
Lead architectural discussions and produce detailed specifications for data architecture, focusing on Medallion Architecture implementation.
Manage and mentor a team of 8+ data professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Develop data models and ensure adherence to best practices for data governance, scalability, and optimization.
Drive the integration of PySpark and SQL in data workflows, ensuring efficient data processing and transformation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technological solutions.
Stay current with industry trends and Microsoft Azure updates to continuously enhance the organization's data architecture capabilities.

Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years of overall experience, with at least 1 year in an Architect role.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services, particularly Synapse, ADF, Event Hub, and ADLS.
Proficiency in building and implementing Medallion Architecture in data solutions.
Experience in data modeling and the ability to design data structures that optimize data retrieval and use.
Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience in managing cross-functional teams.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with advanced data analytics using PySpark.
Familiarity with DevOps practices in the context of Azure data solutions.
Certification in Azure Architecture or Data Engineering.
Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
