Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
About Milliman
Milliman is a global actuarial, consulting, and technology firm with deep
expertise across insurance, healthcare, financial services, life sciences,
and employee benefits. With a strong global footprint, Milliman partners
with clients to deliver data-driven insights and innovative solutions.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-energy, self-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist
to join our team. This role is a replacement position and will play a
critical part in building strong talent pipelines for actuarial and
technical roles. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who thrives in an
independent environment, proactively sources talent, and partners closely
with business leaders across geographies.
Beyond core recruitment, this role will also contribute to campus hiring
initiatives, employer branding activities, and employee engagement events,
making it a well-rounded TA role with exposure beyond traditional hiring.
Key Responsibilities
-
Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for actuarial roles; prior
actuarial hiring experience is strongly preferred.
-
Hire for technical and niche roles where required; candidates without
actuarial hiring exposure should demonstrate a strong inclination and
ability to transition into actuarial recruitment.
-
Partner closely with global stakeholders and functional leaders to
understand hiring needs, role expectations, and workforce plans.
-
Independently source candidates through direct sourcing channels including
LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and talent mapping, with minimal reliance
on vendors.
-
Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring
needs.
-
Manage campus hiring initiatives, including institute engagement, planning
hiring calendars, coordination of interviews, and onboarding support.
-
Support and execute recruitment events, career fairs, and employer
branding initiatives.
-
Contribute to employee engagement activities and internal events as
required.
-
Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
-
Track recruitment metrics, maintain accurate hiring data, and provide
regular updates to stakeholders.
Desired Experience & Skills
-
5–6 years of experience in Talent Acquisition (flexible between 4–7
years).
-
Prior experience in actuarial hiring is highly preferred; alternatively,
strong experience in technology hiring with demonstrated interest in
actuarial recruitment.
-
Experience hiring for global roles or working with international
stakeholders.
-
Strong sourcing capability with hands-on experience in direct hiring.
-
Ability to work independently, manage multiple roles, and deliver in a
fast-paced environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
-
High ownership mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
-
Energetic, driven, and comfortable operating with minimal supervision.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
or a related field.
Why Join Milliman
-
Opportunity to work with a globally respected consulting and actuarial
firm.
- Exposure to niche and intellectually stimulating roles.
- Collaborative environment with global stakeholder interaction.
-
Scope to grow beyond traditional TA into campus hiring, branding, and
engagement initiatives.
