Specialist Actuarial

AXA GLobal Business Operations (AXA GBS), a part of the AXA Group, was established in 1997 in Bangalore and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the AXA Group, to provide comprehensive range of outsourced back office transactions processing and high value add (such as Equity Analytics, Investment Management, Data Science & Digital Analytics and Actuarial) for the AXA Group Companies. AXA GOBO currently employs over 3,600 people to provide support to the 40+ AXA companies in Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand & Japan.
The Actuarial practice at AXA GOBO plays a critical role and is our likely key growth area for the coming years. The team is involved in variety of activities around technical pricing, market pricing, reserving or valuation, experience analysis, shareholder reporting, financial projections and other newtechnical initiatives –all of this undertaken in close collaboration with the various clients that we support. The team serves several AXA entities across the world and is currently engaged in working with entities from North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Mediterranean and in the Middle-
East region in the Property and Casualty, Life and Healthcare insurance products.
Key Accountabilities
: -

To code actuarial model and integrate, Collaborate with production
application teams.
-
To debug problems, Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions
to these problems. In general diagnosis and solving problems with
application.

Model Maintenance, Actuarial end user application support.
-
Implement and Integrate in IT activities,
-
Design and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code.
-
Help maintain code quality, Implement performance and quality modules.
-
Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their
requirements and transforming them into a solution framework.
-
Work on different Life insurance engagements as per client’s
requirements such as IFRS17 reporting and valuations, SII reporting and
investigate experience variances and assumption/data impact.

Independently analyze project requirements to own and deliver pilot
projects / initiatives with very high quality to establish support
credibility with AXA Group entities.

Resolving client queries effectively and troubleshoot data issues
immediately.

Understanding business problems and translating the business information
into dynamic and effective reports or dashboards to generate meaningful
business insights
Specific knowledge required
: -

Strong proficiency in C++, with fair knowledge of the language
specification

Familiarity with templating in C++

Excellent understanding of Self-service Tools, Actuarial &
Statistical techniques.

Fair Knowledge of life Actuarial is required.

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
Position Summary

Run and maintain actuarial models.

Perform model validation and testing.

Support IFRS17 and SII valuations and reporting.

Play a critical role in setting up an Actuarial support servicing
various AXA Group entitie
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
-
Graduate/ Post Graduate in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, B. Tech, B. Com, or Finance.

Student Member of an Actuarial Society (IAI / IFoA / CAS / SOA)

Should have cleared 4-8 exams
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
-
3-5 years of experience in Life actuarial valuation / modelling
role on Prophet
-
Good hands-on knowledge & experience of working on Excel and R
programming is a must for efficient delivery

A flair for programming and an analytical mindset will be a desirable attribute
