Role Overview
We are seeking a hands‑on HR Admin / HR Manager with proven experience in a
startup environment, capable of building HR processes from the ground up. This
role demands someone who can seamlessly wear multiple hats—HR Business
Partner, Administrator, Compliance Owner, and Culture Driver—while partnering
closely with leadership to scale the organization sustainably.
Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration
-
Handle office administration, vendor management, facilities, and
day‑to‑day people operations.

Establish and streamline foundational HR structures including offer
letters, payroll processes, HRMS, and employee documentation from the
ground up.

Serve as the first point of contact for all employee HR and
admin‑related queries.

Compliance & Policy Drafting
-
Ensure complete compliance with applicable Indian labor laws (PF, ESIC,
Gratuity, POSH, Shops & Establishments, etc.).

Draft, implement, and update HR policies, employee handbook, SOPs, and
internal guidelines.
-
Own POSH compliance including committee setup, awareness programs, and
documentation.

Support implementation and ongoing management of SOC 2 compliance by
collaborating cross-functionally to establish controls, maintain
documentation, and ensure audit readiness.

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Management
-
Own end‑to‑end onboarding from offer rollout to induction and probation
confirmation.

Ensure a seamless employee lifecycle spanning hiring, role transitions,
performance reviews, and exits.
-
Partner closely with hiring managers and recruiters for smooth candidate
experience.

Year‑End Performance Management Cycle

Design, implement, and manage the annual performance management and
appraisal frameworks aligned with business outcomes.

Drive goal setting (OKRs/KPIs), mid‑year and year‑end reviews,
self‑assessments, and manager feedback.

Facilitate calibration discussions, performance ratings, and
compensation review inputs.
-
Ensure clear communication, documentation, timelines, and fairness
throughout the performance cycle.

Continuously improve the performance framework to align with business
and growth objectives.

HR Business Partner (HRBP)
-
Operate as a strategic business partner, aligning people initiatives
with organizational goals and growth plans.
-
Support managers on performance issues, feedback, coaching, employee
relations, and conflict resolution.
-
Enable org design, role clarity, and people scalability in a
fast‑changing startup ecosystem.

Lead end-to-end talent acquisition with a strong focus on attracting and
onboarding high-quality talent in a timely manner.
-
Partner with leadership to plan hiring aligned with business growth and
workforce strategy.

Continuously improve candidate experience and employer branding
initiatives.

Culture Building & Employee Engagement
-
Build, drive and safeguard a strong organizational culture from ground
zero, aligned with leadership vision and values.

Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, town halls, feedback
mechanisms, and recognition programs.

Champion organizational values and act as a culture ambassador across
teams.

Employee Retention & Well‑being
-
Develop and execute employee retention strategies suitable for a startup
environment.

Conduct pulse surveys, engagement check‑ins, and attrition analysis.
-
Drive initiatives focused on employee well‑being, motivation, and
long‑term engagement.

Learning & Development
-
Proactively identify and implement initiatives to enhance employees’
soft skills, leadership capabilities, and overall professional growth.

Drive a culture of continuous learning and development across the
organization.
Required Skills & Experience
-
Prior experience working in early-stage or high-growth organizations, with
demonstrated ability to build HR policies and frameworks from the ground up.

Strong expertise in HR compliance, policy drafting, and performance
management.

Hands‑on ownership of year‑end appraisal and performance cycles.
-
Ability to build processes from scratch and operate with minimal structure.
-
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
-
High ownership mindset with comfort in ambiguity and rapid change.
Preferred Qualifications

MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related field.
-
Experience as an early HR hire or sole HR in a startup.

Exposure to scaling teams and evolving HR frameworks.
- Familiarity with HRMS and payroll tools.
