Technical Translator
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a meticulous and technically adept Translator (English ↔ Thai) to support our growing localization function. You will work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure all technical documentation, customer-facing content, and business communications are accurately and fluently translated. Experience in the telecom industry — particularly in B2B and B2C commerce — is an advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate technical documents, product manuals, UI strings, and API documentation between English and Thai
- Localize customer-facing content including marketing collateral, FAQs, and support articles
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to maintain terminology glossaries and style guides
- Ensure translated content adheres to brand tone, technical accuracy, and cultural appropriateness
- Review and proofread translations produced by other team members or translation tools
- Work with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools and TMS platforms to manage translation workflows
- Provide language support during client meetings, presentations, or product demos when required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Native or near-native proficiency in Thai with advanced written and spoken English (C1 or above)
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field
- 2+ years of professional experience in technical translation or localization
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical content with precision and clarity
- Familiarity with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or Phrase (Memsource)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in the telecom industry — especially consumer (B2C) or enterprise (B2B) commerce contexts
- Exposure to telecom products: SIM/eSIM, mobile plans, roaming, billing systems, or CPaaS platforms
- Understanding of technical concepts such as APIs, network infrastructure, or OSS/BSS systems
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced tech startup or MNC localization team
