Cluster Head – Land Acquisition

Job Summary:

The Cluster Head – Land Acquisition will lead the strategic efforts in securing land for renewable energy projects, specifically in wind and solar sectors. This role is vital to the organization, ensuring we have the necessary land resources to drive our growth and commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute land acquisition strategies to meet project timelines, focusing on wind and solar energy projects.
Negotiate and finalize land lease agreements with landowners, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies to identify potential land sites and assess their viability for energy projects.
Collaborate with local authorities, stakeholders, and community leaders to build positive relationships and facilitate land acquisition processes.
Oversee due diligence processes including title searches, environmental assessments, and land-use analyses.
Manage a team of land acquisition professionals, promoting high standards of performance and accountability.
Track and report on land acquisition progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Environmental Studies, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in land acquisition, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
Strong knowledge of land use regulations, planning processes, and environmental impact assessments.
Proven track record of effective negotiation and relationship-building with landowners and community stakeholders.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to travel frequently to engage with local stakeholders and inspect potential land sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in the Karnataka region or familiarity with local land acquisition practices.
Membership in professional organizations related to real estate or renewable energy sectors.
Demonstrated success in leading teams and driving collaborative initiatives.
Understanding of renewable energy policies and industry trends in India.
