About the role
Product Owner
Location: Bangalore – Hybrid (3 days in office)
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with 5–7 years of overall experience, preferably in the BFSI domain, to drive finance data products in an Agile environment. The candidate will work closely with Finance stakeholders and technology teams to design, build, test, and deliver scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document Finance processes and system requirements
- Define functional designs for data acquisition, enrichment, and provisioning
- Partner with Finance stakeholders and Technology teams across design, build, test, and deployment phases
- Own product vision, roadmap, and backlog for finance data products
- Write clear features, epics, and user stories; drive Agile ceremonies
- Lead sprint planning and track development status across sprints
- Perform data analysis and querying for investigation and validation
- Provide functional leadership and mentor team members
Mandatory Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Exposure to BFSI domain documentation and compliance requirements
- Prior hands-on experience as a Product Owner
- Strong functional expertise with experience leading teams
- Availability for evening calls (up to 10 PM IST)
- willingness to work from Bangalore office 3 days a week
Technical & Functional Skills
- Solid understanding of BFSI domain and regulatory compliance
- Experience owning data products such as ODLs, data capabilities, and data migrations
- Strong understanding of product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
- Ability to write SQL or query data for analysis and troubleshooting
Stakeholder & Collaboration Skills
- Effective stakeholder management across Business and Technology
- Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements
- Strong collaboration and decision-making skills in cross-functional teams
