The GM/AGM - Ops in Power Trading will be responsible for managing day-to-day trading operations, driving efficient execution of strategies, and compliance with regulations. This role involves coordinating with trading teams and other functions to optimize processes, mitigate risks, and ensure timely settlements. The GM/AGM will lead the operations team, drive process improvements, and implement best practices to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Commercial & Operational Management
• Oversee and manage all commercial and operational activities related to power trading, including invoicing, billing, and coordination with the accounts team. • Supervise and verify energy bills, open access (OA) bills, provisional energy bills, compensation bills, and tariff calculations. • Lead night Round The Clock (RTC) trading, power exchange operations, and corridor bookings, driving smooth execution of bilateral and collective transactions. • Manage Form 4 operations, including bidding, rate setting, charge reporting, and maintaining detailed transaction records. • Oversee non-fund-based activities for tenders and support other banking-related activities as required. • Supervise the reconciliation process for provisional energy bills, Transmission & Management (TM) bills, Open Access (OA) bills, and final energy settlements. • Facilitate timely distribution of OA refunds between buyers and sellers and handle long-term billing and tariff calculations. • Work closely with F&A for monthly reconciliation and follow up on outstanding payments with clients. |

Plant Coordination & Customer Interface Management
• Coordinate with plant operations teams to monitor real-time power supply, validate adherence to scheduling plans, and troubleshoot deviations or outages. • Act as a central point of contact for customers to address concerns related to power delivery, driving alignment between scheduled and actual dispatch. • Facilitate seamless communication between plant teams and customers to resolve delivery or performance issues, minimizing contractual disputes and penalties. |

Contract & Risk Management
• Responsible for timely and efficient management of contracts to meet supply commitments, mitigate penalties, and conduct risk analysis on back-to-back contracts. • Oversee the final settlement of energy and open access transactions, facilitating proper contract closure in monetary terms. |

• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements by submitting timely statutory reports to Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and other relevant bodies. • Manage external, internal, and incentive audits, facilitating all documentation is aligned with regulatory standards. |

IT & Software Management
• Oversee the use of Power Trading System (PTS) software for auto email obligation reports, SAP uploads, and management of MIS reports. • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and maintain the Power Exchange Bidding portal and other critical software tools. |

AOP & Budget Management
