🔹 Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Underwriting Specialist with a strong background in the property line of business. The ideal candidate will contribute to underwriting strategy, portfolio management, and technical underwriting excellence while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

🔹 Stability Criteria

Minimum 2 years in the current organization and 1 year in the previous organization (or vice versa).

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation of underwriting strategies, including risk analysis, pricing, portfolio mix, and profitability.
• Monitor underwriting performance using data, insights, and key metrics.
• Ensure adherence to risk policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to development of underwriting guidelines, best practices, and control frameworks.
• Assist in portfolio management by analyzing profitability and growth trends.
• Participate in Technical Underwriting Review processes.
• Resolve underwriting-related technical issues as per defined policies and procedures.
• Contribute to projects of low to moderate complexity.
• Provide technical expertise for short-term, defined-scope initiatives.

🔹 Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of underwriting experience in General Insurance.
• Strong expertise in Property Line of Business.
• Good understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and portfolio management.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of underwriting governance, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
