Purpose - Why does this role exist?
To design, implement, configure, and maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems
(MES) across manufacturing operations, ensuring real-time visibility,
production efficiency, and data-driven decision-making, while supporting plant
operations, production lines, utility systems, and new automation projects in
compliance with company standards and IT/OT security guidelines.

Key Result Areas
- Effective deployment and maintenance of MES platforms and solutions.
- Seamless integration of MES with PLC / SCADA / DCS / ERP systems.
- Real-time shop-floor data acquisition, analysis, and visualization.

Implementation of MES functions such as production tracking, OEE, downtime
analysis, genealogy, traceability, quality management, and batch reporting.
- Compliance with ISA-95 / ISA-88 standards and IT/OT security norms.

Development and delivery of dashboards, KPIs, and reports for production,
quality, and maintenance.
- Continuous troubleshooting, optimization, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, configure, and maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems
(MES).
- Integrate MES with PLC / SCADA / DCS / ERP (SAP, Oracle) systems.

Collect real-time shop-floor data from machines, sensors, and control
systems.

Configure data models, workflows, and business rules according to
manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot MES application, data, and communication issues.
-
Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports for production, quality, and
maintenance.

Ensure MES platforms comply with security standards and IT/OT best
practices.

Coordinate with production, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, and IT
teams for integration activities.

Support automation upgrades, retrofits, and new project installations.
Specialization
-
Hands-on experience in MES configuration and deployment (LEADACE MES, Custom
MES solutions, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens) and shop-floor connectivity.
- Programming experience in C# / .NET, Visual Studio.
- Experience with SQL databases (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with OPC UA / DA, MQTT, REST APIs.
- Understanding of ISA-95 / ISA-88 standards.

Experience with report development, dashboards, and data visualization
tools.
- Basic knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and IT/OT integration.

Educational Background and Work Experience
Educational Background:

B.E / B Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering /
Instrumentation Engineering / Automation / IT Engineering / CSE
Work Experience:
-
7–10 years of hands-on experience in MES implementation, automation, and
shop-floor integration.
- Experience in MES integration with ERP / PLC / SCADA / DCS.

Exposure to manufacturing industries (Automotive, Steel, Cement, Pharma,
FMCG, Power).

Experience in data acquisition, reporting, dashboards, and process
optimization.

Engineering Teams, Production & Project Teams, Technicians.

MES Vendors / System Integrators, PLC / SCADA OEMs, ERP Suppliers (SAP,

Additional Notes (Vendor Scope)

Vendor shall provide programmable laptop(s) with required licensed software.

Vendor shall provide mandatory safety PPEs as per site and statutory
requirements.
- Canteen facility (breakfast & lunch) shall be in Vendor’s scope.
- Transport facility shall be in Vendor’s scope.
- Accommodation and travel, if applicable, shall be in Vendor’s scope.
