multiple industries including PCBA, Plastics, Metal and Sourcing. To help
their customers seamlessly manage manufacturing, Mekr is an on-demand
manufacturing platform for the electronics industry. The firm is currently
working for organisations across industries like EVs, Fintech, Telecom, IoT,
agri-tech and home appliance industries.
About the role
We are looking for an organized plant manager to supervise all manufacturing
processes at our plant. The plant manager is responsible for ensuring that
deadlines are met while following health and safety protocols.
To be successful as a plant manager you must be able to multitask. A good
plant manager has excellent communication skills and fosters positive
relationships with clients and employees.
Responsibilities
Production & Process Management:

Lead all plant operations.

Handle machine setting and process setting to optimize moulding operations.

Prepare and execute weekly and monthly production plans based on customer
and export orders.

Ensure smooth execution of production as per capacity and planning.

Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and drive improvements.
Manpower & Resource Management:
-
Manage the entire plant workforce including staff and shopfloor teams.

Identify training needs and facilitate internal and external training
programs.

Ensure effective resource and utilities management to maintain production
efficiency.
Quality & Documentation:
-
Provide technical support to Production, Purchase, and Quality Assurance
teams.

Monitor rejection analysis & implement control measures.

Prepare and verify SOPs, PPAP documents, BOMs, assembly guidelines, and work
instructions.

Review, issue, and maintain controlled documents related to Production, QA,
and Testing.

Conduct internal quality audits across all departments.
Procurement & Inventory:

Plan, forecast, and procure raw materials in alignment with production
schedules.

Collaborate with domestic and overseas suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excesses.

Prepare and update product costing sheets and technical data sheets.
Maintenance & Tooling:

Oversee maintenance of tools and moulding machines to ensure high uptime.

Ensure regular calibration of instruments and gauges.
Customer & Vendor Development:

Develop new customer relationships and support business growth.

Source and develop new vendors with strong negotiation and costing skills.
Candidate requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field
-
7+ years of experience in plant or manufacturing operations
-
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and process optimization skills
-
Familiarity with TPM, Six Sigma, and ISO standards
