About the Role
CNK is looking for a Semi-Qualified CA to join its Internal Audit team in Chennai. The role will involve executing internal audit assignments, evaluating business processes and internal controls, identifying risks and control gaps, and supporting clients in strengthening their governance and control environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute internal audit assignments across various industries and business functions.
- Understand business processes, identify key risks and evaluate internal controls.
- Perform process walkthroughs, control testing, substantive testing and analytical review .
- Identify control weaknesses, process gaps and areas of operational inefficiency.
- Prepare detailed audit working papers and maintain appropriate audit documentation.
- Draft audit observations, including risk implications, root cause and recommendations .
- Interact with client finance and business teams to understand processes and obtain audit evidence.
- Assist in preparation of Internal Audit Reports and Management Reports.
- Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations and closure of observations.
- Support seniors/managers in planning and execution of multiple audit assignments.
- Work across functions such as Finance & Accounts, Procurement, Sales, Inventory, Revenue, Payroll and Operations .
Candidate Profile
- CA Inter / Semi-Qualified CA with relevant Internal Audit experience.
- Preferably 1–3 years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, Statutory Audit or Big 4 / mid-size CA firm environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting, internal controls and audit methodologies.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently execute audit procedures and manage client interactions.
- Willingness to travel for client assignments, as required.
