Scope:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SDET to drive automation, performance testing, and quality engineering practices across the software lifecycle. This role goes beyond execution, focusing on designing scalable automation frameworks, ensuring system reliability, and embedding quality into delivery pipelines. The ideal candidate will combine strong programming skills with a quality-first mindset to improve system stability, scalability, and test efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing
- Build UI automation using Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright
- Develop API automation using Rest Assured
- Implement BDD frameworks using Cucumber (Gherkin syntax)
- Design and execute performance and load tests using JMeter
- Analyze performance metrics (response time, throughput, latency) and identify bottlenecks
- Create automated test suites for regression, smoke, and integration testing
- Integrate automation and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure performance optimization and scalability
- Perform root cause analysis for defects and performance issues
- Drive automation strategy, framework reusability, and test coverage optimization
Quality Ownership & Governance
- Own end-to-end quality for assigned modules, including automation strategy and execution
- Define and track quality metrics such as automation coverage, production leakage, and flakiness
- Ensure traceability across requirements, test coverage, and defect outcomes
- Classify issues into defects, requirement gaps, and change requests to maintain scope clarity
- Drive preventive quality practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Enforce quality gates within CI/CD pipelines

Technical Skills & Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET role
- Strong programming skills in Java (Python is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Selenium WebDriver
- Playwright (preferred)
- Rest Assured
- Cucumber (BDD)
- JMeter
- Experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks
- Strong understanding of API testing (REST, HTTP, JSON/XML)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with Git and build tools (Maven/Gradle)
- Basic SQL/database validation skills
QA Process & Engineering Practices
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Experience with shift-left and continuous testing practices
- Experience in performance testing lifecycle and workload modelling
- Familiarity with test reporting, logging, and dashboards
- Experience with defect lifecycle management and RCA
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
