JOB DESCRIPTION

BASIC INFORMATION

Role Title:	Project / Construction Head
Location:	Navi Mumbai & Hyderabad (Genome Valley)
Department:	Design & Construction

Qualifications

Educational: B.E. (Civil), preferably with post-graduation in Project / Construction Management from a premier institution

Professional: 16–22 years of experience managing high-quality, multi-storied construction projects, life sciences, data centres and with intense MEP services (High side electrical, HVAC, Knowledge on ZLD, STP)

Must have completed at least two full life cycles of on-site projects covering civil, finishing, Façade, Landscape and MEP works.

Must have built Commercial/ Hotel project experience with min of 3 Lac Sq.ft +(G+6) Min.

Should be willing to travel as per the requirements of the organization.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The incumbent is responsible for leading and managing construction projects from concept to close-out, ensuring adherence to time, planning & execution, coordination (Design & Internal, liaison), cost, quality standards and contractual documentation. Oversees multi-disciplinary teams, manages contractors/vendors, ensures EHS compliance, handles statutory clearances, and maintains strong professional relationships with all stakeholders.

Accountable for resource planning, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, and implementation of best practices in project execution.

Role Summary:  

• 16–22 years of experience managing high-quality, multi-storied construction projects, Commercial/ life sciences, with intense MEP services (High side electrical, HVAC, Knowledge on ZLD, STP, ETP)
• Must have completed at least two full life cycles of on-site projects covering civil, finishing, Façade, Landscape and MEP works
• Should be willing to travel as per the requirements of the organization
• Must have Contracting firm experience at site
• Must have at site experience of full project life cycle
• Min of G+6 structure leading to 3Mn sq.ft
• 4 years on 1 project @ site
• 3-4 of such projects Minimum
• Should have done Commercial/ Office/ Hotels
• Hands on MEP experience

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead overall project development, execution, and timely delivery.
• Ensure execution of the project as per quality standards.
• Prepare & review the project fortnightly schedules.
• Maintain SWOT analysis of project-related issues and resolve them proactively.
• Develop and monitor detailed project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, MEP specialists and liaison consultants for design and execution.
• Review and approve drawings before execution.
• Review of the DBR & specification in coordination with GFC as As-Built drawings.
• Preparation of cash flows and budget trackers.
• Ensure quality, safety, and statutory compliance at all stages.
• Review the reconciliation statements and compare the wastages (both theoretical & actuals).
• Identify the snags during virtual completion stage.
• Hand over the project post completion of snags, testing and commissioning.
• Issue the project completion certificate to the contractor and project completion draft to the management committee.
• Execute the project as per the specification requirements of LEED & EDGE.
• Manage vendor relationships and contractual compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and performance reviews.
• Mentor, train, and guide project team members.
• Oversee contract negotiations, closures, and periodic reviews.
