About the Role

Sundaram Home Finance Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented Internal Audit professional to strengthen its Corporate Audit team. The role offers exposure to audits across key corporate functions, enabling the candidate to evaluate business processes, strengthen internal controls, and support compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of auditing principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of corporate functions including Finance & Accounts, Human Resources, Administration, Procurement, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, and other support functions.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance processes, and operational efficiencies.
• Assess compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable statutory guidelines.
• Identify process gaps, operational risks, and control deficiencies, and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Prepare audit programs, perform testing, document audit observations, and maintain comprehensive working papers.
• Discuss audit findings with business stakeholders and assist in developing actionable remediation plans.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and conduct follow-up reviews.
• Support enterprise risk management initiatives and special reviews assigned by management.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening internal controls.
• Assist in preparing audit reports and presentations for senior management and the Audit Committee.

Desired Candidate Profile

• CA Inter qualified.
• 1–4 years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, Process Audit, or Statutory Audit (Banking/NBFC experience preferred).
• Articleship experience with reputed CA firms in Internal Audit will be considered.
• Good understanding of internal control frameworks, audit methodologies, and risk assessment techniques.
• Working knowledge of accounting standards, Companies Act, and RBI/NHB guidelines applicable to NBFCs will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data analytics tools is desirable.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and willingness to travel for audit assignments when required.
