Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced China Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing and procurement activities for SKD projects. The candidate will be responsible for supplier development, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, quality coordination and timely procurement from China, while working closely with Engineering, Production and other internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead sourcing and procurement of electronic, electrical and mechanical components for SKD projects from China.
Identify, evaluate and develop reliable Chinese suppliers and manufacturers.
Manage RFQs, quotations, price comparisons, negotiations, MOQ, payment terms, lead times and commercial closures.
Understand BOMs, technical specifications, drawings, testing requirements and assembly requirements.
Coordinate with Engineering, Production and Quality teams for technical requirements, samples and alternate components.
Drive cost optimization, alternate vendor development and supplier performance improvement.
Manage supplier communication, samples, purchase orders and timely material delivery.
Conduct supplier visits/audits and support quality and compliance requirements.
Maintain sourcing records, supplier databases and procurement reports.
Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities and opportunities for cost and quality improvement.

Must-Have Profile

8–10 years of experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably with significant China sourcing exposure.
Should have worked in a Home Appliances / Consumer Appliances company.
Strong experience in vendor development, price negotiation, supplier management and procurement.
Good understanding of electronic, electrical and mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
Ability to understand BOMs, technical specifications, drawings and part requirements.
Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and vendor-management skills.
Good MS Excel and ERP/procurement system knowledge.
Strong ownership and ability to independently manage sourcing activities.

Good-to-Have

Previously visited China for procurement, supplier development or vendor meetings.
Prior experience visiting the Canton Fair for procurement/sourcing.
Exposure to SKD/CKD or NPD projects.
Understanding of SMT/THT/PCBA manufacturing and consumer appliance manufacturing.
Experience with Chinese sourcing platforms and supplier networks.

Education

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related technical fields.
