Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

8+ years of technical I.T. infrastructure or operations experience.

Minimum 4 years' experience in an Infrastructure architect role.

Thorough knowledge of, experience with, and ability to design, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot wireless & wired network equipment and protocols in a large campus environment.

In-depth knowledge in WAN transport systems/services, Telecommunications systems/service, LAN switch technology (including Spanning tree, VTP domain management), routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP4), Software-Defined technology (SD-WAN).

Minimum 6 years of experience in technical/engineering deployment positions in the RF/Wireless industry, and must possess a deep technical knowledge of the sector.

Expert knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax wireless networks, site surveys, requirements gathering, deployment challenges. Minimum of 6 years hands on Cisco experience required, with equivalent exposure to various non-Cisco networks.

System Engineering technical skills; specifically, 802.11 a/g/n/ac/ax, wireless design and assessment, wireless troubleshooting, wireless network optimization, IP routing and switching WAN/LAN design, configuration, troubleshooting, Layer 4-7 application services, security authentication methods and products, RADIUS, AD, Virtualization environments/deployments, VM installations, (any of VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, GCE, Azure, AWS), etc.

Experience involving complex client requirements assessment, solutions design and implementation within the technology services industry. Experience with Managed Service Provider environment preferred.

Must have hands on experience working with Cisco Prime, NCS, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba AirWave wireless Management platforms & Other wireless systems.

Thorough understanding of WLAN authentication, security and network management.

Knowledge in various wireless channel models, such as AWGN, fading, indoor and outdoor models.

Knowledge on working with Wireless LAN Controller's, Cloud AP-s, Lightwieght APs, Standalone AP's and Mesh AP's.

Familiarity with the following areas of specialization: VLAN; Security; VoIP; QoS wired/wireless; BYOD/MDM; PtP; Mesh; Wireless Controller Architectures; Wi-Fi protocols and transmission, RF engineering, Indoor, and Outdoor wireless deployments.

RF Design and Survey Experience utilizing Ekahau and AirMagnet products.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient manner.

Proven experience of LAN/WAN/Security design & implementation experience; completing projects wing2wing from planning>design>implementation.

Ability to quickly learn the functional and technical aspects of portions of a large, complex campus network infrastructure.

Work with project managers and other teams to achieve project deadlines.
