| Key Skills & Requirements |
· Catch defects early, when they are cheap to fix — not in production, when they are expensive and visible to clients’ customers. · Give developers, project managers, and clients a credible, defensible quality signal at every release. · Reduce rework, hot-fixes, and post-launch incidents on the engagements you support. · Lift the team’s overall productivity by building reusable test data, regression suites, and automation that pay dividends across releases. · Protect clients’ brand and deliverability reputation by enforcing standards on rendering, tracking, consent, and suppression. · Strengthen the partnership between QA and engineering: faster feedback loops, fewer surprises, more shared ownership of quality. · Mentor and lift junior testers, contributing to the long-term capability of the marketing technology quality engineering team. |
| Skills |
· 3+ years in software or marketing-platform QA, with at least 1–2 years testing Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Campaign Classic, or Adobe Campaign Standard implementations. · Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform: XDM schemas, datasets, identities, Real-Time Customer Profile, segmentation, and source / destination connectors enough to validate them, not necessarily to build them. · Strong test design skills: equivalence partitioning, boundary analysis, scenario design, and risk-based prioritization applied to data- and event-driven systems. · Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs and JSON; comfortable using Postman or equivalent to exercise AJO/ACO and AEP endpoints. · Working scripting ability in JavaScript, Python, or similar — enough to write payload validators, data generators, and lightweight automation. · Solid grasp of email, push, SMS, and in-app channel mechanics: rendering, deliverability fundamentals, tracking, and personalization. · Experience with rendering tools (Litmus, Email on Acid) and a working understanding of accessibility (WCAG) for email and in-app content. · Familiarity with Git-based workflows, ticketing systems (Jira), and modern release practices for marketing-platform deployments. · Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write defects, test plans, and release sign-offs that are clear, complete, and respectful of the reader’s time. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

| Good to Have |
· Adobe certifications: AJO, Adobe Campaign, AEP, Real-Time CDP, or Customer Journey Analytics (Business Practitioner or Developer tracks). · ISTQB or equivalent QA certification (Foundation, Advanced, or specialist tracks such as Test Automation Engineer). · Experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST Assured, Karate) applied to Martech or web platforms. · Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud beyond AJO/ACO: Target, Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics, Real-Time CDP, AEM as a Cloud Service. · Background testing adjacent platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Iterable, HubSpot) and an ability to articulate trade-offs. · Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and SQL for validating ingestion and segmentation. · Exposure to performance and load testing concepts as they apply to high-volume sends and event ingestion. · Familiarity with privacy and consent frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA where relevant) and how to test the controls AJO/ACO offer to support them. · Industry depth in retail, financial services, healthcare, travel, or media. · Experience working in an agency, consultancy, or client-embedded delivery model. |
