Senior Devops Engineer

Job Description:

 
 

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale, production-grade cloud environments on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure DevOps, the broader Azure ecosystem, and modern DevOps practices with a focus on automation, security, scalability, and cost optimization.

 
 

Key Skills & Requirements:

 
 

Experience: 8+ Years

 
 

Azure DevOps Suite:  Deep hands-on experience with Azure Repos, Azure Yaml Pipelines , Azure Artifacts, and Azure Test Plans. and Azure DevOps REST APIs/extensions.

CI/CD Pipelines:  Build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end pipelines for complex applications across Dev/Test/Staging/Prod environments. Experience with GitHub Actions, blue-green and canary deployments, and integration with Azure DevOps Pipelines.

Azure Cloud Services:  Production-grade experience with a broad range of Azure services.

DevSecOps : Implement security practices in CI/CD pipelines with hands-on experience in tools such as SonarQube, HashiCorp Vault, HP Fortify. Familiarity with SAST, DAST, SCA, container image scanning, secret scanning, and policy-as-code.

FinOps & Cloud Cost Optimization:  Hands-on experience implementing FinOps practices and tools to monitor, allocate, and optimize cloud spend.

Infrastructure as Code:  Terraform (with Azure provider and remote state in Azure Storage), ARM templates, Azure Resource Graph, and Azure Verified Modules.

MCP Server and MCP tools integration experience.

LLM , AI/ML and MLOps Platforms:  Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure AI Search infrastructure.

Containerization & Orchestration:  Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Helm, ArgoCD, Flux, Istio/Linkerd service mesh.

Observability & Monitoring:  Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Kusto Query Language (KQL), Azure Workbooks, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Search, Kibana alerting, distributed tracing.

Code Quality & Version Control: SonarQube, Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based development), pull request policies.

Automation & Scripting:  PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell module, Python, Bash.

Cloud security best practices

Experience with microservices and serverless architectures on Azure.

Knowledge of Agile/DevOps culture, Azure Well-Architected Framework, and Cloud Adoption Framework

Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting production issues, and optimizing systems for performance and cost.

 
 

Good to Have:

 
 

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), FinOps Certified Practitioner, or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).

Experience with Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale architectures.

Experience driving cost-awareness culture across engineering teams and partnering with finance stakeholders.
