DATA MIGRATION 

Senior Developer - 3 - 5 profiles

Role Overview

Hands-on technical delivery role working under the Development Lead

Responsible for building and executing extraction, transformation, and load scripts for assigned objects

Covers full project lifecycle from discovery through to hypercare

Key Responsibilities

Build and test extraction scripts for assigned objects — full load and delta

Apply transformation rules — cleansing, enrichment, format conversion, and picklist alignment

Execute data loads in LSC sandbox and production following the migration runbook

Monitor load jobs in real time — resolving errors, failed records, and API throttling

Perform post-load validation — record counts, field accuracy, and relationship integrity

Execute file and attachment migration — ContentVersion, ContentDocument, and legacy Attachments

Support UAT sessions — investigate flagged records and implement script fixes

Maintain detailed documentation of all scripts, load jobs, and results

Contribute assigned sections to the migration runbook and reconciliation report

Required Skills & Experience

 

3–5 experience years of Salesforce 

Minimum 2 migrations contributed to — including at least one production cutover

Advanced knowledge of Salesforce data model — standard and custom objects, relationships

Advanced in Salesforce Bulk API 1.0 and 2.0

Expert in Salesforce Data Loader — upsert and external ID usage

Intermediate to Advanced in Informatica Cloud or equivalent ETL platform — preferred

Advanced in Python or SQL for data transformation scripting

Advanced in Salesforce Files and Attachments — ContentVersion and ContentDocumentLink

Advanced in external ID strategy and picklist value alignment

Intermediate to Advanced in delta extraction — last modified date filtering

Certifications

 

Salesforce Certified Administrator — required

Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder — preferred

Salesforce Certified Data Architect — advantageous
