About the role
Senior IT Administrator
Senior IT Administrator will oversee daily operations and support for complex enterprise systems and tools, collaborating with teams and vendors to resolve technical issues. This role manages advanced system and network administration, addresses escalated service requests, printer configurations and maintenance, and is responsible for workstation and server patching.
Responsibilities
- Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
- Interacts with internal business partners, providing Tier 2-3 support and makes recommendations based on business needs.
- Responds to, updates and closes service desk tickets generated by internal business partners.
- Performs day-to-day support and administration of server hardware/software, enterprise systems and applications.
- Monitors and reports on potential problem areas that may adversely affect network/system performance to IT management, utilizing SolarWinds.
- Provides support for Azure, Office 365 and various cloud services.
- Oversees and administers Windows Deployment Tools, Intune, Endpoint Configuration Manager and Tanium.
- Manages and provides network/system administration, security management and user account management in Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Exchange and Multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Oversees and administers Tanium for server and personal computer (PC) patching, telco systems, such as CXone and RightFax, virtual servers and environment in VMware 6.7+.
- Automates tasks and writes scripts using Microsoft PowerShell.
- Assists System Engineers with documentation creation, large project implementations and technology planning.
- Reviews existing systems and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Stays current with new infrastructure technology and security standards.
- Serves at an on-call capacity during off-hours, as needed.
- Performs monthly servers and endpoint maintenance activity tasks.
- Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
