Senior Android Developer
We are looking for a Senior Android Developer with strong AOSP experience to
design, customize, and maintain Android platform solutions. The role involves
working across the Android stack including AOSP framework, system services,
and application layer development. Experience with HAL integration and Linux
drivers is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities

Customize and maintain Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for device
platforms.

Develop and modify Android framework components and system services.

Integrate and debug HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) modules.

Work with hardware teams to support device bring-up, BSP integration, and
kernel/driver interactions.

Design and build scalable Android applications and system apps.

Debug platform and system issues using ADB, logcat, dmesg, systrace, and
profiling tools.

Optimize performance, memory usage, boot time, and power consumption.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware,
backend, and product teams.
Required Skills
Android Platform / AOSP

Strong experience with AOSP customization and Android platform architecture.

Understanding of Android framework, system services, Binder IPC, and Android
build system (Soong/Make).

Experience with system apps, framework APIs, and Android debugging tools.

Familiarity with SELinux, init scripts, and Android system configuration.
Android Application Development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.

Experience building production Android apps using modern Android
architecture.

Solid understanding of Android lifecycle and Jetpack components.
Architecture & Libraries

Architecture patterns: MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, Repository pattern

Jetpack: ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Navigation, Room, WorkManager
- Networking: Retrofit, OkHttp
- Dependency Injection: Hilt / Dagger
- Async programming: Kotlin Coroutines
- Image loading: Glide / Coil

Good to Have

Experience with HAL development (HIDL/AIDL).

Exposure to Linux kernel, device drivers, and device tree configuration.
- C/C++ and Android NDK/JNI development.

Performance optimization using Perfetto, Systrace, Android Profiler.

CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Experience with embedded Android, IoT, automotive, or custom hardware
devices.
