Email Engineer

Knowledge of JSON structures and data flows as used in email deployments/integrations

Hands-on production experience in ESP platforms. Proficiency in one or more scripting languages:

AMPscript (SFMC)

Klaviyo (Django)

Liquid (Braze)

Jinja (Bloomreach)

Experience testing emails across major clients

Familiarity with testing tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid

 

Email Engineer, Professional Services

The Email Engineer is responsible for building, testing, and deploying high-quality HTML emails within the Wunderkind internal platform  and within Email Service Providers (ESPs) such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Oracle Responsys, Braze, and Bloomreach . This role is execution-focused and requires strong hands-on email coding, scripting, and QA capabilities to support high-volume lifecycle, campaign, and triggered email programs for clients.

The ideal candidate has deep experience working directly inside ESPs, writing scripting logic for dynamic content, and delivering production-ready emails that meet strict quality, performance, and turnaround expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Hand-code responsive HTML/CSS emails  for production use

Translate design files (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop) into pixel-accurate email build

Implement dynamic content and personalization logic  using ESP scripting languages and data attributes

Configure message delivery , including:

Perform thorough self-QA and client testing  prior to deployment

Required Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS for email , including:

Experience handling:

Ability to build modular, reusable templates
