Power BI Developer – Finance Domain
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer with a strong background in the Finance Domain and hands-on exposure to Paginated Reports . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that support financial decision-making.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Proficiency in Power BI for building dashboards and data visualizations.
- Strong experience in the Finance Domain (e.g., financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, P&L statements, balance sheets).
- Hands-on exposure to Paginated Reports in Power BI (Power BI Report Builder / SSRS-style reports).
- Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language) .
- Ability to connect Power BI to various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, Azure, and finance ERP systems.
- Understanding of data modeling and star/snowflake schema design.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and paginated reports tailored to finance business requirements.
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visual reports.
- Maintain and optimize existing Power BI reports and data models for performance and accuracy.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all financial reports.
- Support end-users with report usage, training, and troubleshooting.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Synapse , Azure Data Factory , or other cloud-based data platforms.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI.
