Senior Engineer - Azure Infrastructure and DevOps

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong hands-on experience across Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, governance, DevOps, automation, and core data engineering concepts. The candidate should be comfortable designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and automating Azure environments independently.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure

Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure design and deployment

Strong understanding of Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, routing, NSGs, private endpoints, DNS, peering, and firewalls

Strong understanding of Azure identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID

Experience with Azure RBAC, managed identities, service principals, Key Vault, policies, and governance

Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Experience deploying infrastructure and applications through automated pipelines

Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

Ability to design and develop reusable Terraform modules

Strong Python scripting experience for automation, integration, validation, and operational tasks

Experience building automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational activities

Good understanding of Git, branching strategies, Pull Requests, and code review practices

Good understanding of ETL and data engineering fundamentals

Understanding of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data pipelines

Experience working with linked services and connections between data platforms and external systems

Working knowledge of relational databases and database administration concepts

Understanding of database security, connectivity, backup, access management, and performance considerations

Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, identity, deployment, and application connectivity issues

Ability to independently investigate technical problems and drive them through resolution

Strong understanding of security, scalability, reliability, and operational best practices in Azure

Ability to review infrastructure designs, Terraform code, Python scripts, and CI/CD pipelines created by other engineers

Comfortable working with engineering and client-facing teams on technical design and implementation

Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate

Additional Azure infrastructure, networking, security, or architecture certifications

Experience working across multiple Azure subscriptions and client environments

Experience building reusable cloud infrastructure assets that can be deployed across multiple environments

Exposure to Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric, or similar

platforms
