Core Responsibilities
Design and enforce an on-premises SQL-First Medallion Architecture
(Bronze, Silver, Gold) on SQL Server 2025 Standard
Edition.
Architect robust, metadata-driven ingestion patterns to extract
data from a greenfield NetSuite ERP using SuiteAnalytics Connect
and SuiteQL, specifically engineering solutions for hard-delete
detection.
Develop custom T-SQL frameworks for data quality, matching, and
survivorship in the Silver layer to offset the deprecation of
Microsoft DQS and MDS.
Design Kimball-style dimensional models (Star/Snowflake schemas)
optimized for downstream consumption by Power BI Service via an
Enterprise On-Premises Data Gateway.
Evaluate and implement high-volume data ingestion tooling,
determining the optimal balance between metadata-driven SSIS
pipelines and hybrid SaaS agents (e.g., Fivetran) within strict
network security boundaries.
Technical Prerequisites
Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server internal architecture,
specifically configuring Resource Governor, temporal tables, and
columnstore indexes for analytical workloads on Standard
Edition.
Proven experience migrating legacy ERP historical data and merging
it with new cloud ERP operational data within an on-premises data
warehouse.
Deep understanding of NetSuite's data model, ODBC drivers, and
SuiteAnalytics connection concurrency limits.
Mastery of Power BI semantic model design, DAX, Row-Level Security
(RLS), and on-premises gateway capacity planning.
Strong background in establishing automated, idempotent ETL/ELT
patterns that decouple extraction logic from business
transformation.
Making a mid-flight leadership change is never easy, but
protecting the architectural baseline now is the only way to
safeguard the project's cutover.
